Today we celebrate the feast of the Most Holy Trinity, the feast of God Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That is, the feast of the three face of God, of the ways in which God has gradually revealed Himself to us. As men, we are looking for God and we develop a clear or confusing image of Him. What is God’s face like?

In our times, the image of God is that of an unknown God, or a God “for emergencies only”, or of God the magician. But that is not the Christian God. Neither is that the saving God that the Gospels offer us. God has presented to us different faces. Through Christ Jesus we discover the real image of God: God is a Father. A second discovery is that of Jesus Himself. The third one is of God the Spirit.

In today’s Mass we gather together as a family under the gaze of  our Father. May this Eucharist help us to discover the real face of God.
